Coming Out As Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ+)

June was Pride Month and it is an important time for the LGBTQ+ community. It is a time where people can gain support and historically was connected to Stonewall Inn, where LGBTQ+ people were discriminated against. Pride is a process and not everyone automatically has pride in their identity. Similarly, coming out is a process for each person. Dr. Bewley encourages each person to avoid comparison when coming out and listen to your own boundaries, time-line, and reasons for doing so. Dr. Bewley will help you consider coming out safely and ensuring that you have the support you need.
